ICBR SHORT HISTORY:

In 1998, The Islamic Center of Boca Raton (ICBR) [an incorporated not-for-profit organization spawn off Florida Atlantic University, Muslim Student Organization] grew out of a need to further develop the community and establish a first Masjid in the city Boca Raton.

Since it inauguration, the Islamic Center of Boca Raton has been offering classes and activities for men, women and children in Fiqh, Aqeeda, Tajweed, Tafseer, Hadith, Arabic, Karate, Martial Arts, Soccer and Creativity Workshops. Regularly ICBR organizes major events such as Community Health Fair, Islamic Conferences, Summer Camps etc... The Muslim Community in South Florida often uses ICBR for celebrating Aqiqas and marriages. Allah (SWT) has guided forty five brothers and sisters to make Shahada in the Masjid. The Da'awa committee at ICBR achieved a great success by having a local hospital implement the Islamic guidelines for handling Muslim patients. On a daily basis the center's Imam and Volunteers offer counseling for families and individuals and provide assistance and support to different Muslim causes.

APPEAL

All praise is due to Allah (SWA) for making us "as one body, if any limb of it should complain, the rest of the body is called upon by restlessness and fever". And all praise is due to Allah (SWA) for making the believers " as one structure, pulled together by all its parts".
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We live in turbulent times, and the importance of a Masjid in the community has never been greater. ICBR is embracing the need for a place where the Muslim community in South Florida can come together, now, and for generations to come. The goal is to create an integrated socio-cultural complex, capable of serving the spiritual and social interests of the community through prayer, education and community services. We have purchased 3.3 acres of land, and have received the proper Boca Raton City approvals to build a Masjid, Daycare and Part-Time School. But, the reality is we can't do it alone. In order to build the first masjid in Boca Raton, we need the help of the larger Muslim Community. Make an investment that will reap everlasting rewards, assist us in this worthwhile cause today.

"Who is he that will loan to Allah a beautiful loan, which Allah will double unto his credit and multiply many times? It is Allah that giveth (you) want or plenty. And to Him shall be your return." (2:245)

ICBR MISSION

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "He who built a masjid for Allah, the Exalted, Allah would build for him a house in Paradise."

PROJECT DESIGN:

The proposed permanent center is an integrated complex serving both spiritual and social interests of the community.
It consists of the following main facilities:
" Masjid with an area of 9000 square feet
" Multipurpose Hall for large lectures, conferences,
Ramadhan iftar, ceremonies, and also used
as an extension for occasional prayer and for sport activities
with an area of 6000 square feet
" Educational/Administrative Building which includes a
day care center and a school suite with computer lab and library
" General Building which includes Imam and Guest Residences,
Kitchen, Halal Store and Gym
" Children play ground and open grass field for outside activities
" Ample parking space

"And whatever good you spend before you for your souls, you will certainly find it with Allah, better and greater in reward" (73:20)
